Job Title: Microbiologist Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist Specialist to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical duties in laboratory sections, with minimal supervision, as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, and up-to-date records/logs/files.
  • Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform routine and advanced equipment maintenance.
  • Follow all applicable laboratory, departmental and institutional policies and procedures related to billing.
  • Participate in and promote the prevention, detection and resolution of instances of noncompliance with departmental and institutional billing policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory sciences required.
  • 2+ years of proven experience required; Microbiology experience preferred.
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required.
  • ASCP preferred.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $45.29-$72.42.
  • Monday - Friday; 8AM-4PM shift.
  • Location: Main Campus.
  • Reporting into: Manager, Laboratory Science.
