Propagation Technician

Conception Nurseries is seeking a skilled Propagation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing against our production plan by following SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut and transfer plants to fresh medium using aseptic/sterile technique.
• Dissect and test tissues or cells for viruses and other diseases.
• Prepare selected tissues or cells for reproduction.
• Assist with plant media preparation suitable for the species to be cloned.
• Data capture for KPIs, inventory management, and data.
• Maintain clean, sterile equipment and facility.

Requirements:

• Detailed oriented and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Team player with excellent time management skills.
• Bachelor of Science in horticulture, plant science, or biotechnology preferred but not required.
• No experience required, 1-2 years experience with plant tissue culture, nursery production, plant propagation, a sterile laboratory setting or some combination thereof is strongly preferred.

Estimated Salary: $48,000 - $58,000 per annum.
