Job Title: Vascular Intervention Technologist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist physicians in performing a variety of special studies, including interventional procedures, which often requires sterile technique, the introduction of medical devices into designated areas of the body and digital processing of imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with procedures, perform patient care duties according to standard care plan, physician preference, policy and procedure.
  • Prepare sterile table and environment for angiographic procedures.
  • Position patient to image anatomic structures.
  • Manage the sterile area and can appropriately operate all medical devices with the assistance of the physician.
  • Know the functions and controls of the imaging equipment within Interventional Radiology and the Hybrid OR.
  • Knowledge of the HIS/RIS computer systems as it relates to Interventional Radiology.
  • Provide call coverage during off hours.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • ARRT(R) certification required, Advanced certification ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CV) preferred.
  • Minimum of one year radiological technologist experience. Prior experience in an IR or Cardiology lab is preferred.
