Job Summary

Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. (BAMSI) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, and mental health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and regulations.
  • Complete daily written notes, data tracking, and skilled assessments to ensure accurate patient care.
  • Follow medical protocols, treatment plans, and medication treatment plans to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Utilize Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) practices to create a supportive work environment and promote patient growth and dignity.
  • Provide physical support, assistance with lifting and transferring patients as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with direct care and supervisory teams to ensure patient health status and provide oversight of meals and medication administration.
  • Provide training to staff and patients on relevant areas, such as health, hygiene, safety, and diet.
  • Attend staff meetings and provide holiday coverage on a rotating basis.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts license as a nurse.
  • Knowledge of nursing care theories, methods, procedures, and practices.
  • Two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injury, and/or psychiatric illnesses preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to record data, use electronic time and attendance software, and receive and send electronic mail.
