Physician Assistant General Surgery at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center

MedStar Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland. As a Physician Assistant in General Surgery, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our experienced team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide medical services under the general supervision of a physician, including obtaining medical history, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies, and formulating diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribe and/or dispense medication, assist in surgery or other invasive procedures, and round on admitted patients.
- Counsel patients and families, and perform other patient care duties as needed.
- Qualified Physician Assistants will hold at least a bachelor's degree and must be a graduate of a PA Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) or its predecessor.
- Must be National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) PANCE eligible and eligible for PA licensure in the State of Maryland.
- Documentation of Maryland PA license and initial NCCPA certification are required upon hire.
