Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons PLLC. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the direction of patient care, coordinating staff members, and ensuring the smooth operation of our ambulatory surgery center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination
    • Direct and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and efficient use of resources.
    • Collaborate with physicians, medical directors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
    • Develop and implement staff development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Quality Improvement
    • Identify areas for quality improvement and develop strategies to address them.
    • Collaborate with the quality improvement team to implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory surgery center, including scheduling, supply management, and equipment maintenance.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
    • Current Michigan license and BLS certification.
    • ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
    • Two years of progressive supervisory experience in an ambulatory surgery center or similar environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
