Ceph Storage Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Ceph focused software defined storage solution team. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical leadership skills, a background in software engineering, and the ability to develop and grow a globally distributed team of engineers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, developing them through coaching, mentoring, and feedback, and demonstrating sound engineering principles by directly contributing toward the team's goals. They will also set reasonable schedules based on considered estimates, with feedback loops for improvement, and advance modern, agile software development practices.
The ideal candidate has a software engineering background, preferably with Python and C++ experience, and experience operating scale out storage clusters on Linux in production environments, preferably with Ceph. They should love embracing new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and have a track record of developing and growing people. The salary for this role is estimated at around $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
