IT Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Technician to join our team at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our medical equipment and systems.

• Provide technical support and maintenance for medical equipment and systems
• Coordinate and perform installation and initial inspections on medical equipment
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules, codes, practices, and policies
• Perform as first-line full-service expert in focus clinical and administrative areas
• Coordinate and/or perform installation and initial inspections on medical equipment
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules, codes, practices, and policies

• Associate's Degree or CBET, Microsoft, Medical Device Manufacturer Certification, etc.
• 5-7 years relevant experience
• Valid Virginia Driver's License required

Job requires sitting and standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/climbing ladders, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and walking (distance: - 2 miles/day), Repetitive motion: computer keyboard and driving/traveling.

Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids, infectious disease and dust.
