Imaging Technical Assistant

The Imaging Technical Assistant provides scheduling services and exam instructions for patients and physician offices. This role maintains patient flow in a productive, organized, and timely manner. Accurate clerical documentation of patient information and exam data is ensured. The Imaging Technical Assistant also provides safe and comfortable transportation for patients of all ages and effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS) Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk. A minimum of one year of patient care experience, or accepted into a Radiology Program, or customer-related field is required. One year of experience in medical imaging is preferred. Vocational/technical-related college courses preferred.
