Position Overview

SMX Corporation is seeking a dedicated Application Software Engineer with proven expertise in developing financial and business software applications. This role involves crafting application strategies, solutions, and integrations tailored for both corporate and client-specific systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage in the development and maintenance of data-centric tools and applications.
- Transition existing tools to a cloud-based environment.
- Utilize Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for maintaining current tools.
- Conduct necessary data operations and execute SQL scripts.
- Manage Informatica workflows and ETL processes.
- Participate in all phases of software analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation of financial tools.
- Analyze problems, identify solutions, and maintain software tools through coding, debugging, and testing.

Technical Skills Required

- Proficient in database management (MS Access, Oracle 11g, SharePoint Lists).
- Experience in automating processes within MS Office applications (Excel and Access VBA, MS PowerApps, PowerBI).
- Familiarity with SharePoint site administration and user management.
- 3-6+ years of relevant experience with Oracle, SQL Plus, Informatica, and Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
