Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Burncoat High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instructional experiences to students in Mathematics.

1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
2. Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure student understanding and mastery of mathematical concepts.
3. Mentor students in the development of problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
4. Manage classroom environment to promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
5. Use technology to enhance instruction and increase student engagement.
6. Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
7. Ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including support for students with special needs and second language learners.
8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• MA DESE License - Mathematics: 8-12
• SEI Endorsement
• Bachelor's Degree

• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition

184 days. Appropriate step on Teacher's Salary Schedule.
