Maintenance Specialist

At Mauser Packaging Solutions, we're committed to innovation and sustainability in packaging. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our production equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

• Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines, including bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problems.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards.
• Document and track changeover times and record.
• Achieve all work orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, decrease scrap, improve quality production, and improve plant efficiency.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures, including the Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to interpret documents, such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, and diagrams.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices, including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges.
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions.
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.

• Ability to lift 55 lbs. overhead.
• Ability to be on feet up to 12 hours.
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch, push, pull, and climb to perform duties.
