Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Batch Room Supervisor in completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their normal work shift ends.
  • Transport pallets up to 2,500 pounds using proper equipment and repetitively move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a cool/damp area with an ambient temperature up to 90oF and maintain productivity rates required throughout the department.
  • Accurately weigh ingredients into industrial containers and safely and efficiently use appropriate tools and safety equipment as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Batch Room Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) and relative experience within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
