We are seeking a skilled Metalworking Specialist to join our team at BlackHawk Industrial Operating Co. in O'Fallon, MO. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for tooling to manufacturer or customer specifications, ensuring timely delivery and cost savings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promoting Safety Culture: You will demonstrate, recruit, and coach associates consistent with Core Behaviors, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
• Tool Management: Sort, set up, and maintain tools according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Machining Operations: Perform grinding operations on tooling, following established procedures and protocols.
• Cleaning and Inspection: Clean and inspect machinery and tools regularly to ensure optimal performance.
• Quality Control: Inspect jobs after final operation to guarantee quality and precision.
• Troubleshooting: Respond to common problems and situations, using established standards and procedures to resolve issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Material and Tooling Types: You should have knowledge of various materials and tooling types, including their applications and characteristics.
• Machine Operation: Familiarity with Tru-Tech, Cylindrical Grinding Machines, and Manual Grinding Machines is essential.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read blueprints and understand tool specifications.
• Measurement Tools: Competent use of micrometers, Vernier, radius gages, and other measurement tools.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills and understanding of tool geometry.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in a well-maintained workshop environment with occasional exposure to elements. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, but some flexibility may be required for weekends or evenings.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Eye protection, hearing protection, and foot protection as required.
