Certified Nursing Assistant

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
- Provide direction and support to residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Transport residents safely and assist with walking, turning, and repositioning as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including changing bed linens and running errands.
- Assist with meals and snacks, and encourage residents to participate in activities.
- Listen to and understand residents' concerns, and report observations to the care team as needed.
- Promote the physical, personal, and emotional well-being of each resident, and strive to maintain their maximum level of self-care and independence.
- Understand and respect residents' Advance Directives, and follow their wishes.
- Ensure effective communication with residents' families regarding their care and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to provide exceptional care and support to residents.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of an accredited CNA program preferred.
- One year of experience as a certified nursing assistant preferred.
- CPR or BLS certification preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office programs, and electronic health records systems.
- Dependable and able to meet scheduling requirements with no restrictions.
- General knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding senior living care, and a solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living.
