About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at LMH Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing and operating MRI equipment, collecting data, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Support the mission of Lawrence Memorial Hospital by providing exceptional patient care and service.
  • Explain procedures to patients and families accurately and to their satisfaction.
  • Maintain all equipment and supplies in good working order.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment and supplies to perform exams and aid in the performance of diagnostic procedures.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with all customers.
  • Assist radiologists as needed for completion of procedures.
  • Adhere to standard of care outlined in policy and procedures as the Medical Director of Imaging Services.
  • Maintain certifications, licensure, and job-related competencies and requirements.
  • Perform patient examinations proficiently, efficiently, and safely.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all customers.
  • Complete ordered exams and assemble data in folder to be read by radiologist/physician.
  • Generate exam charges in Radiology computer system.
  • Utilize resources to provide the best standard of care for patients in Imaging Services.
  • Act as patient's advocate prior, during, and following exams.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documents pertinent data and patient information completely.
  • Review patient history and obtain appropriate order.
  • Evaluate images and adjust imaging parameters appropriately.
  • Competent with the use of sterile techniques.
  • The ability to work independently and produce high-quality images with minimal supervision.
  • Review and assist with completion of the MRI safety questionnaire.
  • Administer various gadolinium-based contrast agents.
  • Competent in IV starts.
  • Perform care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification and MR registry within 12 months of employment.
