Position Overview

The Surgical Oncology division is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Advanced Practice Provider to conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments, as well as ongoing follow-up for patients undergoing surgical interventions for cancer.

This role primarily emphasizes the continuity of care for individuals diagnosed with hepatobiliary disorders, melanoma, sarcoma, and gastric malignancies. The selected provider will manage both in-person and telehealth consultations, tailored to the objectives of each visit and patient preferences. Additionally, the provider will play a crucial role in the interpretation and follow-up of imaging and laboratory results, alongside medication management as required. Given the intricate nature of cancer care and the necessity for integrated interdisciplinary collaboration, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Academic Commitment

As a part of an academic health institution, the ideal candidate should possess a passion for medical education and a readiness to engage with and mentor medical students and surgical residents within the clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

While prior experience in surgical oncology is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.
