Boston, Massachusetts, United States One Medical Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at One Medical.

As a Medical Support Specialist, you will provide exceptional care and support to our patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their journey.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide venipuncture services, dispense medication, and perform other clinical support tasks as needed.

You will also serve as an ambassador for our patients in office, providing a human-centered approach to care and ensuring that every interaction is respectful, empathetic, and patient-focused.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our medical teams, contribute to the development of our technology suite, and help shape the future of healthcare.

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, based on a full-time schedule.

Additionally, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including paid sabbatical after 5 and 10 years, employee assistance program, and pre-tax commuter benefits.

Taking care of our members beyond the lab room is a key aspect of this role. You will answer patient messages, follow up on lab cases, and assist our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties such as biometric screening forms, medical record and consult review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting.

Furthermore, you will use impeccable C-I-CARE skills in all patient interactions, ensuring a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach as necessary.

All front-of-house duties, including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prepping tests, tasking to service level expectations, answering phone calls, sending faxes, and coordinating transportation for patients, are also part of your responsibilities.

To succeed in this role, you must possess at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.

Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams is also preferred, as well as a proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care.

A competitive salary of $55,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits, makes this an attractive opportunity for any healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.
