Job Summary:
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team at our care center. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
- Assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
- Assist with meal preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
- Assist with wellness and recreational programs and encourage residents to participate
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
