Job Summary

At Portland General Electric, we're seeking a highly skilled Interconnection Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our grid connection services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and respond to inquiries and applications for specialized customer programs, determining completeness and coordinating with all parties to ensure completion of appropriate documents.
  • Work with project managers to develop project scope, requirements, schedule, and deliverables, and monitor, track, and report on project status and milestones.
  • Coordinate project review meetings and site visits for testing and commissioning projects, and track and assist in resolving customer issues.
  • Develop and maintain manuals, analyze and document procedural changes and improvements, and prepare emergency procedures for customers.
  • Clearly communicate operating and performance standards and procedures to customers, strategic partners, internal departments, consultants, and contractors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of utility experience with one year in a technical field such as energy efficiency, metering, facility operations, or other energy-related field, or bachelor's degree with one year of technical experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of special customer programs and applicable regulations, procedures, and policies.
  • Working knowledge of PGE service territory, business contracts, tariffs, project planning steps, and elements, billing practices, purchasing procedures, and processes.
  • Basic knowledge of PGE's business model and funding structure, marketing and sales processes, electrical power system, Windows operating system, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Working skills in using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
