Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at VCU Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, including liver and renal Doppler exams, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
  • Develop and implement effective patient care plans, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in ultrasound technology, with a focus on liver and renal Doppler exams and pediatric experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and techniques, including image acquisition and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, with a focus on diagnostic imaging.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare software systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
