CNC Machinist Job Description

At Composite Energy Technologies Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality composite products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely set up and operate multiple CNC machines with minimal assistance.
  • Operate all equipment listed above as needed.
  • Ability to simultaneously operate more than one CNC machine at a time.
  • Read and adhere to all written processes.
  • Study daily work instructions, sketches, drawings, blueprints, and manuals to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect, change, and make offsets to cutting tooling on CNC equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Adhere to and implement quality management system in accordance with ISO Quality standards.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of machine shop experience - manual mills and lathes along with CNC machines.
  • Vocational trades school, high school diploma or equivalent (formal trades or apprenticeship programs preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter and motivated to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in composite production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of composite raw materials.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Understanding of machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist.

This is a full-time hourly position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week 7:00 a.m- 3:30 p.m. This position may require longer hours and weekend work.
