About the Role

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Perioperative Services team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Functions as a scrub person in the Operating Rooms, setting up cases with proper instrumentation and supplies, and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Assists in room monitoring of equipment, temperature, and humidity, and notifies the circulating nurse of any issues.
  • Ensures proper patient body alignment during intra-operative phase, and precepts new staff as assigned.
  • Contributes to the overall efficiency of the OR by performing routine tasks, and assists with general daily clean up of rooms, workroom, and central core.
Requirements
  • Certification in surgical technology
  • High school graduate or certified equivalent; Graduate of a formal surgical technology program
  • New graduate of surgical technologist program or experienced surgical technologist
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree
  • Preferred experience in a similar role
