OCE is seeking a Garment Production Team Leader to oversee operations at our facility. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to supervise, coordinate, and train AIC agents in the garment production sector.
The ideal candidate will maintain a secure and safe working environment, adhering to OCE and DOC regulations, while facilitating the garment business operations.
As a Production Team Leader, you will need to effectively interpret and communicate both oral and written instructions to staff and AICs.
This position offers a competitive compensation package, including employer-paid health, vision, and dental coverage, paid time off, and retirement benefits through the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), along with 11 paid holidays each year.
Desired Skills and Experience:- Experience in production and quality control
- Proficiency in production data collection and reporting
- Background in manufacturing
- Inventory management experience
- Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback to AICs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of preventative machine maintenance
- Experience in garment production
- Supervisory experience
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Capability to operate and drive a forklift
- Potential exposure to noisy machinery, dust, and varying temperatures
- Extended periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces
- Three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a production environment
- Successful completion of a Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background check
- Pass pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment
