Athletic Trainer

Ashe Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Rehabilitation Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical coverage to Ashe County High School student athletes, ensuring their safety and well-being during sports activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field, with previous experience in sports medicine preferred. State licensure by the NC Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners and current BLS certification are required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the Athletic Trainer will work closely with students, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing medical coverage to student athletes during sports activities
• Conducting injury assessments and developing rehabilitation programs
• Collaborating with coaches and other healthcare professionals to ensure student athlete safety
• Maintaining accurate records of student athlete injuries and treatment
