**Essential Duties:**
  1. Develop and implement library programs for inmates, promoting literacy and education.
  2. Plan and direct library operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  3. Provide readers' advisory services, recommending books and other materials based on individual needs and interests.
  4. Select, acquire, and organize library materials, ensuring convenient access for inmates.
  5. Review requests and select books and other materials, considering factors such as mental state, educational background, and special needs.
  6. Assemble book reviews for institutional publications and circulate them among inmates.
  7. Provide assistive technology and accommodations for inmates with disabilities, promoting equal access to library services.
  8. Promote positive social skills and model appropriate behaviors, intervening when necessary to support inmates.


**Qualifications:**
  • Master of Library Science (MLS) degree required.
  • One year of related experience and valid Learning Resources Certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree may be substituted for master's level requirement in certain circumstances.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
  • Must successfully complete all annual in-service requirements.
