**Essential Duties:**
- Develop and implement library programs for inmates, promoting literacy and education.
- Plan and direct library operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Provide readers' advisory services, recommending books and other materials based on individual needs and interests.
- Select, acquire, and organize library materials, ensuring convenient access for inmates.
- Review requests and select books and other materials, considering factors such as mental state, educational background, and special needs.
- Assemble book reviews for institutional publications and circulate them among inmates.
- Provide assistive technology and accommodations for inmates with disabilities, promoting equal access to library services.
- Promote positive social skills and model appropriate behaviors, intervening when necessary to support inmates.
**Qualifications:**
- Master of Library Science (MLS) degree required.
- One year of related experience and valid Learning Resources Certification required.
- Bachelor's degree may be substituted for master's level requirement in certain circumstances.
- Valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
- Must successfully complete all annual in-service requirements.
