Surgical Unit Travel Nurse RN

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Crisis Response. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical unit environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IVs, administering blood products, and managing surgical drains.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical unit setting.
- Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
This is a 13-week contract position with a maximum of 7 days of RTO allowed. The shift is 12 hours, with 36 or 48 hours accepted. The schedule is as needed, with every other weekend required. The unit is a combination of adult medical surgical and surgical stepdown, with a ratio of 1:6 for floor patients and 1:1 for surgical stepdown patients.
