Job Summary

Cedar Point, a world-renowned amusement park, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Ride Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our 18 coasters and other rides.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and devices to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Operate Machine Shop Equipment: Utilize various machine shop tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Assist other divisions and departments as needed to ensure seamless park operations.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, with a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical work, with a strong mechanical aptitude and hand tool skills.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
  • Background Check and Drug Test: Ability to pass a mandatory background check and random drug test, per Company policy.
