Speech Therapy Specialist Opportunity in Middle School Setting

We are currently seeking a dynamic Speech Therapy Specialist to join our team in Bedford, MA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with middle school students and a strong commitment to providing high-quality speech therapy services.

About the Role:

This is an immediate opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to work in a middle school setting. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to students, collaborating with teachers and other professionals, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in the middle school setting, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address speech and language goals.
  • Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and other members of the educational team to assess, plan, and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance, including progress notes, treatment plans, and report cards.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall well-being and success of students.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Massachusetts state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
  • Previous experience working with middle school students is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
