About This Role

We seek a seasoned corporate lawyer to join our team as employment counsel. This individual will provide expert guidance on various employment-related matters, ensuring our global operations run smoothly and in compliance with relevant laws.

  • Provide strategic advice on employment challenges, including recruiting, compensation, performance management, separations, internal investigations, and diversity initiatives.
  • Draft and review employment-related documents, such as compensation agreements, non-competition agreements, and severance agreements.
  • Collaborate with our People team to develop and implement policies, programs, and employee trainings that promote a positive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on labor and employment law updates, disseminating information to relevant team members.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employment disputes and represent Faire as necessary.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree and admission to practice in at least one US jurisdiction (preferably NY or CA).
  • 6+ years combined experience in law firm and/or in-house legal department.
  • Substantive employment law experience and litigation expertise.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation, with good business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including outstanding legal writing abilities.
