**Job Summary**

The Certified Medical Assistant/LPN is a vital member of our healthcare team at Springfield Clinic. As a key assistant to physicians, optometrists, NPs/PAs, RNs, and LPNs, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in organizing the nursing station and work area to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Organize and maintain accurate medical records, including written information and dictation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and distributing mail.
  • Order office and medical supplies, adhering to cost containment methods.
  • Perform office procedures, such as sterile urine catheterization, suture removal, and staple removal, under the direction of a N.P., P.A., or physician.
  • Administer medications orally and subcutaneously, as well as allergy injections, under the direction of a N.P., P.A., or physician.
  • Provide patient education and reinforce teaching under provider direction.
  • Comply with OSHA and Springfield Clinic policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

  • High School graduate or GED preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Maintain RMA, CMA, or NCMA credentials.
  • CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire.

**Work Environment**

Works in an office setting with minimal lifting requirements. Occasional lifting required for orthopedics, geriatrics, and internal medicine.
