Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse II in Pediatrics is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs ongoing systematic assessment and data collection to inform patient care decisions.
  • Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that prioritizes patient needs and outcomes.
  • Provides patient and family education to promote health literacy and self-management.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence and patient-centered care.

Requirements:

  • One year recent experience in acute care Pediatrics or completion of a KP Pediatrics Training Program within the past 12 months.
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and completion of the current hours required by the BRN of RN student clinical experience.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ANCC certification in Pediatrics.
