About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Floor & Decor Holdings, Inc. as a Retail Sales Associate. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for:
  • Connecting with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending our products to meet their requirements.
  • Providing outstanding customer service, exceeding customer expectations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shoppable, and safe.
  • Working collaboratively with management and team members to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Processing customer transactions, handling refunds and exchanges, and adhering to established cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
  • Creating price tags, merchandising signs, and stocking, tagging, and displaying merchandise.
  • Acting in accordance with the company's core values and demonstrating compliance with safety processes.
  • Answering telephone calls in accordance with company guidelines and being available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have basic math skills and customer service experience.
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through F&D, and where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test.

Working Conditions

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be working in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

The role requires the ability to exert pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
