Position: Clinical Laboratory Specialist
- Flexible Shift Options: Evening or Night shifts available with additional compensation for off-hours.
- Employment Type: Permanent, full-time direct hire opportunity.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, in accordance with current state and federal regulations.
- Experience: Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with CERNER Laboratory Information System is advantageous.
- Community Setting: Work within a rural healthcare environment.
- Incentives: Potential for sign-on bonuses and relocation support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microbiology: Involves subspecialties such as Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Virology, and Parasitology.
- Core Laboratory 1: Responsibilities include General and Special Chemistry, Blood gases, Immunology, and Serology, with knowledge of both manual and automated processes.
- Core Laboratory 2: Duties encompass Hematology, Coagulation, Special Coagulation, and Urinalysis.
- Transfusion Services: Focus on Blood Transfusion medicine, including Blood Utilization and Waste management.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture and skin puncture, along with specimen preparation for external laboratories.
