Job Summary

Rail Scale Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scale Testing Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our railroad scales throughout the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain our fleet of 2017 Peterbilt 579 day-cab trucks, each equipped with scale-testing equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of railroad scales to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal personnel, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Utilize technology, including smart phones and laptop computers, to perform daily and monthly reporting requirements, as well as schedule and coordinate testing activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders through effective communication and customer service skills.
Requirements
  • Clean MVR and CDL Class A license.
  • Minimum 1 year of continuous OTR experience.
  • Experience operating and maintaining equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in technology.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
