Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all business operations at an assigned store location. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to maximize sales and gross profit, and ensuring the store location is well-maintained and secure. The Store Manager will also be responsible for training and supervising Store Manager Trainees and Assistant Store Managers, if applicable.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Management
  • Utilize knowledge and judgment to diagnose customer fluid connector issues and provide suitable product solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive professional relationships.
  • Offer the appropriate products and fabricate hose assemblies.
  • Resolve customer service problems and complaints.
  • Develop outside quotes and sales orders for the Outside Sales team.
  • Manage cash and payment systems.
Marketing Management
  • Create customer awareness and promote the entire fluid connector product offering.
  • Develop strategies with product layout to maximize sales, improve customer traffic flow, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and tactics, and formulate strategies for building sales.
Customer Account Management
  • Build relationships with prospective and established customers using autonomy.
  • Collaborate closely with the Outside Sales team to provide relevant customer information and sales leads.
  • Engage in customer capture programs.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, maintenance, and security of intellectual property.
Inventory Management
  • Evaluate and manage store inventory by reviewing historical sales data.
  • Maintain and augment the appropriate stock levels of the store.
  • Determine the timing, method, and vendor to procure products.
  • Manage open sales and counter orders, POs, and held invoices.
  • Provide cycle count information to correct department.
  • Handle receiving, shipping, and stocking of inventory.
Operations and Facility Management
  • Perform routine tasks to open and close the store location.
  • Complete annual store audits in partnership with RSM.
  • Control, maintain, and provide security to all facility assets.
  • Ensure the facility is kept organized, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Identify facility issues and handle them with an appropriate solution or notify RSM, as required.
Personnel Management
  • Train, supervise, and delegate tasks to Store Manager Trainees and Assistant Store Managers, if applicable.
  • Recommend specific training needed for Store Manager Trainees.
  • Provide performance feedback to Regional Support Managers of Store Manager Trainees and Assistant Store Managers.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of excellent customer service and management experience.
  • Complete and maintain Parker Store Professional certification.
  • Have good business acumen to interpret needs and formulate appropriate operating practices.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and independently, possess proficient organizational skills.
  • Possess proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a mechanical aptitude to diagnose and understand complex issues.
  • Be results-oriented with a desire to succeed.
  • Possess proficient math skills and can apply metrics and metric equivalents.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as product manuals, purchase orders, and procedure manuals.
  • High School graduate or equivalent education required.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 150lbs.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and tools.
Work Environment
  • Work performed in a workshop environment.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment and hand and power tools.
  • Exposed to several elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
  • This position cannot be performed remotely.
