Perioperative Nurse

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse to join our team. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room setting.
Job SummaryThe Graduate Nurse Residency Program is a full-time RN position that creates a seamless educational transition into the nursing world. This position offers an exceptional experience for new RN graduates to continue to learn and grow in their nursing career while assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room setting
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to a designated group of patients
- Participate in the Graduate Nurse Residency Program, a structured educational program offering training into the challenging specialty of Operating Room nursing
- Work side-by-side with an Operating Room staff nurse preceptor to share in the challenges and rewards that occur at our medical center
- Graduate Nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by State of employment
- Candidates must have graduated within one (1) year of the cohort start date
- Penn State Hershey requires all registered nurses hired after July 1st, 2015 to enroll in a baccalaureate in nursing degree program within six months of their hire date and complete the degree within 4 years of their hire date
