Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team at ECHN. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from illness or injury and regain their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients based on departmental standards to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct and modify evaluations to establish measurable goals for each patient.
  • Treat patients with therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and manual techniques to relieve pain and achieve established goals.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and functional activities to maximize independent functional activity.
  • Document patient care in accordance with insurance guidelines and department policies.
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, referring physicians, and patients to ensure seamless care.
  • Accurately and consistently submit charges for patient services.
  • Adhere to professional codes of ethics and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Supervise affiliated students and participate in continuing education to improve treatment techniques.
  • Participate in departmental and community in-services to stay current on best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a minimum of a B.S.
  • Current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Personal computer skills and proficiency in Windows-based programs.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites.
