Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team. Under the guidance of the manager and in-charge technologist, you will perform a variety of procedures applying ionizing radiation, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans as directed by the Manager, utilizing your expertise and knowledge of scanning protocols to produce high-quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Identify patients and procedures, and communicate with nursing or physician concerning patient needs.
  • Position patients accurately for all CT procedures, ensuring optimal visibility and comfort.
  • Operate the PACS system, verify studies before sending to archive, and report equipment problems to supervisor and in-charge tech.
  • Fill out CT questionnaire and female questionnaire on all patients between the ages of 12-55 years old, and complete contrast media forms for all patients receiving IV and rectal contrast.
  • Perform warm-up calibrations as needed, and maintain competency needed for working in the CT department.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in CT (RT(R)(CT)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • CPR certification.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Data entry skills.
