We are seeking a skilled Practical Nurse to join our team at the Pinecrest Supports and Services Center. As a Practical Nurse, you will provide basic nursing care to patients/clients in stable conditions and in predictable situations in accordance with the Professional Nurses Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities- Implement selective aspects of the nursing care plan, including comfort, hygiene, safety measures, nutrition, etc.
- Observe patients for changes in physical and/or mental status or behavior and report significant changes.
- Administer medication and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Transcribe physicians' orders and record medication and patient's condition on patient's charts and other records.
- Request stock drugs, medications, and supplies as assigned.
- Administer CPR in emergency situations.
To be considered for this position, you must possess a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.
Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a healthcare facility and requires close supervision from a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse of a higher level.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position ranges from $19.48 to $25.44 per hour for Practical Nurse - Licensed 1 and $20.84 to $27.22 per hour for Practical Nurse - Licensed 2. Additionally, this position receives premium pay of $10.00 per hour and may be eligible for shift differential, longevity pay, and additional pay options.
