Position Overview:
The National Accounts Assistant Manager will engage with department store partners, including notable names in the retail industry. This role serves as a crucial support system for the commercial team, acting as a bridge between various internal departments and the retailer's buying and planning teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Account lead in generating reports and facilitating communication within the organization regarding account matters.
- Maintain close contact with retailers to provide updates on product information, changes, shipping statuses, and event planning coordination.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong follow-up skills to adapt to business needs.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the National Accounts Director.
Accountabilities:
- Compile, format, and analyze weekly sales reports while maintaining sales trackers and monitoring stock levels to respond effectively to business demands.
- Analyze sales performance data and offer actionable insights based on customer needs and product availability.
- Liaise with buying office counterparts regarding purchase order confirmations, shipping updates, and sales inquiries.
- Manage product setup forms for internal processes and retailer-facing requirements.
- Conduct site audits to ensure accurate representation of the product portfolio with correct pricing and assets.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure the retailer promotional calendar is updated and communicate any changes to the Account Lead, Field Team, and Marketing.
- Collaborate with the Account lead to manage all retail activities, working closely with trade and content marketing teams to execute online and in-store initiatives.
- Partner with the Customer Supply Chain team to provide retailers with up-to-date shipping information and notify them of any product modifications.
Market Preparation:
- Assist in organizing market appointments and manage all aspects of market preparation, including drafting presentations, maintaining meeting notes, and tracking follow-up items.
- Work with the Creative Team on in-store visual event executions and new store openings.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Events Team to ensure smooth execution of department store marketing and events.
- Plan and manage sampling programs, allocating resources effectively with the Account Lead.
- Oversee monthly ranking communications.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in a national accounts, e-commerce, buying, or planning role.
- Strong understanding of retail mathematics, including key metrics such as sell-through rates, open-to-buy, weeks of supply, and margin analysis.
- Proficient analytical skills with the ability to generate sales performance reports.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with major retailers is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive follow-up and a strong work ethic, coupled with a desire for professional growth.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
