About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key position on the interdependent team, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. Your primary responsibilities will include:

* Maintaining overall accountability for assigned patients
* Managing efficient flow of patient care, including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care and comfort, and arranging for admissions, testing and discharges
* Maintaining and reviewing patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
* Administering medications in accordance with physician orders
* Instructing patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans
* Responding to and referring incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

* Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
* Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
* A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required

Estimated Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
