Key Responsibilities
  • As a vital member of the Construction team, the welder's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Arriving punctually at the job site and checking in with the foreman.
    • Maintaining the vehicle and welding equipment through regular fleet maintenance.
    • Ensuring company tools are kept in good condition.
    • Utilizing personal hand tools for various welding techniques, including soldering, brazing, and SMAW/GMAW.
    • Gaining familiarity with components relevant to air conditioning work, such as boilers, chillers, pumps, and more.
    • Keeping necessary consumables stocked on the vehicle for trade tasks.
    • Performing all tasks safely to prevent hazards to oneself and others.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints and isometric drawings accurately.
    • Assisting fitters in the assembly of piping and related accessories.
    • Executing welds that meet inspection standards.
    • Performing 6G and structural welding as required.
    • Collaborating effectively with the entire job site team.
    • Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent.
