Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality respiratory care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory modalities to treat, restore, and prevent further cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
  • Perform pulmonary assessments and reassessments, treatments, and testing for patients in inpatient, outpatient, and sleep lab settings.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and testing for patients.
  • Participate in discharge planning, specific respiratory interventions, and patient and family education.
  • Function with a focus on customer service and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a program approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (C.O.A.R.C.).
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Maryland.
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Three years of pediatric RT experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires occasional stress during emergency situations or multiple demands. Regular or continuous risk of exposure to body fluids, infectious waste, or blood-borne diseases requires the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to established protocol.
