Job Title: Plumber Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber Assistant to join our team at Norwegian Cruise Line. As a Plumber Assistant, you will provide support to our Plumber team by performing various tasks such as preparing materials, carrying tools, cleaning and maintaining equipment, assisting with installation and basic plumbing works, and repairs.

Responsibilities:
  • Work under the supervision of a Plumber to ensure the completion of plumbing tasks.
  • Inspect plumbing work thoroughly to identify any defects or issues.
  • Perform minor repairs such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and other basic plumbing tasks.
  • Prepare work areas beforehand to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Arrange plumbing equipment and tools as needed.
  • Work in coordination with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Open cement walls to expose pipes underneath.
  • Adjust water pressure as required.
  • Install garbage disposals and check for leaks.
  • Run tests on new and old pumps.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and tidy.
  • Provide excellent customer satisfaction and customer service.
  • Measure and cut pipes, and thread them as needed.
  • Troubleshoot small leaks in installations.
  • Report to the Plumber on a daily basis.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of work experience as a Plumber Assistant or a similar role.
  • Strong working experience with plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of various plumbing techniques.
  • Ability to work in uncomfortable positions and spaces.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Hardworking and physically fit individual.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good active listening abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot leaks and clogs.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
