Outpatient Imaging Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Imaging office in Silver Spring, MD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI scanners and ancillary equipment with proficiency, training new employees as needed.
  • Perform MRI safety procedures on patients with implantable devices.
  • Understand and apply principles of oral and intravenous contrast administration, identifying contraindications and recognizing symptoms of reactions.
  • Accurately document MRI exams, contrast administration, and other relevant information in EMR, PACS, and other systems.
  • Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork by managing patient load and transporting patients as needed.
  • Collaborate with coworkers, radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure best patient care.
  • Perform periodic QA procedures and contribute to time management of the department.
Qualifications:
  • High school or GED
  • Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography
  • 1 year scanning experience; 3 years' experience in MRI preferred
  • IV Certification preferred
  • ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI
  • State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Schedule:

As needed Variable Part Time position; Cardiac and Breast experience preferred
