Job Summary

The Amherst Central Schools are seeking a skilled Laborer Substitute to assist with various facility maintenance tasks. As a member of our facilities team, you will perform a range of duties to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our schools.

Key Responsibilities
• Cleans and services buildings by sweeping, mopping offices, classrooms, bathrooms, and other areas.
• Waxes and buffs floors to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Performs minor maintenance on building fixtures and equipment.
• Picks up and disposes of trash and recyclables.
• Assists with outside work such as sweeping, shoveling snow, and loading/unloading trucks.

Requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others.
• Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Ability to lift medium weights and perform routine maintenance tasks.
