Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UNMC - Nebraska Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
  • Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
  • Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with General Surgery, Endo/Laparoscopic, Bariatrics, Neuro, Oncology, and Ortho procedures
  • DaVinci experience highly preferred
Work Environment

This is a day shift position with possible night shift rotation. There is a possibility for off-shifting (1-3 shifts in a week) once every 4-week scheduling period. Scrubs will be provided by the facility.

Call-Back & Extended Shifts

Call-back rate only paid if called-back to the facility after shift has ended. Regular rate until overtime for extended shifts due to census or a case running over.
