INSTITUTION: Annals of Family Medicine
POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves the education of family medicine residents, facilitating their learning process, and delivering patient care services at the Educational Health Center Clinic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESIDENT EDUCATION:
- Supervise and instruct residents during their direct patient care activities.
- Conduct educational sessions for residents.
- Assess and provide feedback on resident performance.
- Organize and manage the assigned curriculum, ensuring compliance with ACGME standards.
- Act as an advisor for designated residents.
PATIENT CARE:
- Oversee a designated patient panel at the Educational Health Center Clinic, typically managing two clinics weekly when not engaged with the inpatient team.
- Participate in on-call coverage for attending duties.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Attend weekly faculty meetings and annual program evaluation sessions.
- Provide administrative assistance to the residency program.
- Engage in faculty development initiatives.
- Contribute to scholarly activities.
- Participate in other relevant activities that support the mission of the residency program.
REMOTE WORK POLICY:
This position is essential for supporting campus operations and requires the successful candidate to be present on-site.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medicine.
- Completion of a Family Medicine Residency.
- Unrestricted Medical License in Wyoming.
- Unrestricted DEA License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as Family Medicine Residency Faculty or Fellowship Training in Family Medicine.
- Experience in providing obstetrical care, including cesarean sections.
- Background in a Federally Qualified Health Center or similar clinic.
- Familiarity with ACGME requirements for Family Medicine Residencies.
- Leadership experience.
