We are seeking an experienced Activities Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our activities team, you will be responsible for coordinating the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of a diversified wellness program based on resident needs, interests, and present/past lifestyle.

Job Summary:

The Activities Supervisor is responsible for resident and program documentation, ensuring that all federal, state, and facility guidelines are met. You will also coordinate and implement activities for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, organizing community events related to resident needs and interests.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments, development, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of the Wellness program provided and of the unique needs and interest of each resident served.
  • Document resident activities and needs in accordance with facility guidelines.
  • Coordinate and implement a diversified wellness program based on resident needs, which include physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, creativity, leisure, community, and one-to-one activities.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing on a daily basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of infection control, OSHA, safety, and federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Satisfy all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

Education: 90-hour Basic Activity Course, OT, or OTA preferred or Certified Activity Specialist. Experience: Two years of experience in social or recreational programs in long-term care preferred.
